I just saw the report on the news about the Mas findings.
One thing puzzles me. Just like how a CEO is made responsible for the losses a bank incurs, I wonder why is it that only the small fries like the guards and supervisor are implicated in the Mas saga? And all darling Mr Wong needed to say was "I apologise"?
Then maybe the UBS CEO should have just said "Sorry, let us learn from this lesson of misplaced complacency and lets move on."
Maybe then he might have been able to retain his rice bowl.
Mr Wong said he is "satisfied" that it (the Committee of Inquiry) has "held nothing back" in its conclusions and recommendations.
Hello, whether or not you're satisfied, is not the issue here. It's whether the tax payers, the ones who are feeding you your million dollar salary, are satisfied or not.
And right here, you have one that clearly isn't satisfied.

Thats coz Mr Wong Cunt, opps i mean Kan Seng is a man of exceptional talent.
If he resigns, it'll be a loss to civil service.
Joining the civil service requires the most talented and best of all - considered a sacred job beholden to a group of elite that will propel Singapore to first world status!
UBS, ML, CitiGroup CEOs are dispensible lah, MIW, however are indispensible! However ironically PM Lee thinks no one is good enough that he has to look at young boys and girls' A level scores to shortlist the next PM haha
I suppose its an coincidence that Wong Kan Seng and the Director of the ISD are apparently long-time friends, having known each other for over a decade and washing each other's backside in the process as well.
Haven't heard the ISD director making any comment or apologies, have you?
PM Lee says not to turn this into a witch-hunt, then I would like to tell him to pls make sure he practices what he preaches in the future. Its ok for him to witch-hunt people who are a threat to "national security" (but really, are just a threat to the PAP and incompetent ministers like we-know-who) but its not ok as long as the hunted targets are people who would support him and ensure that he stays in power due to undisclosed connections.
Free speech. Democratic society. Based on Justice and Equality. Please stop teaching those young impressionable kids these things till you show them what the real stuff really is.
Right now, its called fictatious free speech which you need permits for, democratic society that applies only to PAP and supporters of the MIW, on the basis of not Justice nor Equality, but Status and String-pulling.
Its a clear sign of systematic failure from the top right to the bottom. Yes the guards that were negligent, but the security measures, infrastructure, framework, domain knowledge that manifested during the whole Mas Selamat saga was just appalling. And who decided this back then? Well MHA's top brass decided. And who endorsed it? WKS.
And there we have stupid singaporeans who buy these strawman arguments. I was really disappointed with WP's LTK, he could have done better to rebutt PM Lee. But I dont blame him given the lack of oppositions in parliament. *shrugs*
Should WKS resign? No he shld be fired!
